Common
World Productions performs their first live webcast in concert with slp3d,
Inc.
On
Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, the nation's first live surgical webcast of a robotically
assisted heart surgery took place
at
MeritCare
Health System, Fargo, N.D. The webcast is available for viewing by
the public anywhere in the world.
This
event gives the public an unprecedented, first look at robotically assisted
surgery in action. (MeritCare is one of
a
handfulof healthcare institutions in the nation to broadcast a live, surgical
webcast and was the first in North Dakota,
South
Dakota and Minnesota.) The surgery was performed by MeritCare cardiovascular
and thoracic surgeon Roxanne
Newman,
M.D., and was broadcasted live, via webcast on Oct. 14 at 5 p.m., CDT.
MeritCare cardiovascular and thoracic
surgeon
Ajit Damle, M.D., fielded questions from the public and healthcare professionals
from across the nation that were
submitted
via an e-mail link during the live webcast.
So
far, due to FDA approval requirements, MeritCare heart surgeons have only
used the robot to assist with small surgical
steps
within larger heart procedures. The robotically assisted portion of the
surgery was the preparing of an internal mammary
artery
for coronary artery bypass surgery. Currently, MeritCare heart surgeons
use the robot three-to-four times a week for
this
procedure.

Minneapolis,
MN - Today, CWP closed on over $800,000.00 in financing with Wells Fargo
Bank, Minneapolis.
This
will allow CWP to complete their purchase of BARCO DLITE D7 LED video screen
panels.
There
are only a handful of companies in the United States who own these high-end
display systems, nearly all of which are
located
out on the coasts. CWP expects to have these panels out at various
events immediately. Lori Inafuku, Loan Closing
Officer
and Michael Denny, Business Banker from Wells Fargo's Nicollet Mall Office
in Minneapolis, were extremely helpful
and
instrumental in completing this financing.
As
previously released, the Barco D7 are separate panels that are easily configurable
into many different shapes and sizes,
with
extremely easy set up. They can be used either indoors or outdoors
and are crystal clear, even in bright sunlight.
Click
here
for more technical information. LED screens are fast becoming the
most sought after display medium for
political
conventions, sporting events, religious gatherings, corporate meetings,
entertainment events and concert tours.
Chris
Nason, President of CWP, stated, "We have been sold on the Barco
D7's, for quite awhile now and we were
always
very confident that CWP was the company that should own these. We
have so many long term relationships with
dozens
of events, for video production services, who also rent large screens,
that it is very easy for us to just step into this
market.
These screens, in our inventory, will enable CWP to become a major player
in the event production business.
We
are so very thankful that WellsFargo had the ability to see the enormous
potential for a company like us,
to
own a product like the D7's."

Common
World Productions (CWP) announces the signing of summer music events.
Memorial
Weekend 2002, CWP will be at Floatrite Park, in Somerset, WI, for another
exciting year at 93X Fest 2002.
Over
the past decade, 240 bands have rocked over a quarter a million people
at this two-day rock music festival.
Many
national acts will be performing, including Kid Rock and Incubus.
This will be CWP's sixth year at this event,
becoming
involved in 1997, when it was called Edge Fest.
CWP
will again be handling all the video services at both Chippewa Music Festivals'
Country
Fest and Rock Fest.
Each
year thousands of fans from all over the world come to Chippewa Valley
for these events. Both fests, each four
days
long, entertain approximately 25,000 people per day. This will be
the sixteenth annual Country Fest and the ninth annual
Rock
Fest. These festivals offer many amenities. The first of these is
the huge permanent stage. This stage has full production
capabilities
so the performers can give their complete show with many of the special
effects & lighting that are normally only
seen
at indoor concert venues. With over 8,000 marked campsites on 320
acres, adjacent to the concert area, there are no
long
walks and no shuttle buses required. All concert goers can get within
a few feet of the stage with the exclusive
picture
taking line. The video system includes two Big Screens and many monitors
throughout the grounds,
so
everyone has an "up front" view.
